Hydrophilic lubricious coatings are designed to enhance maneuverability of catheters and patient comfort by maintaining lubricity throughout the procedure. Cardiovascular devices such as PTCA catheters and delivery systems are typical examples in which the ComfortCoat® coating can provide excellent lubricity, low friction and superior durability, as well as urology catheters, such as Foley and intermittent catheters.
