VALVANCE™ claimed Silver for 2014 Best Ingredient Award at in-cosmetics Asia

At the in-cosmetics Asia tradeshow, running from the 4th to the 6th of November in Bangkok, DSM presented a range of transformational beauty care ingredients and concepts in Skin, Sun and Hair Care. VALVANCE™, DSM’s new range of sensory and visual modifiers, took home the Silver award for Best Ingredient 2014.

VALVANCE™ is DSM’s new breakthrough range of sensory and visual modifiers designed to deliver immediate perceived effects in two ways – in look and in feel. Besides a strong immediate result, consumers receive a fully substantiated performance benefit thanks to the newly developed “Bright Eye”, “Shine Control & Pore Minimizer” and “Comfortable in the Sun” concepts featuring VALVANCE™. The product range showed great customer appeal when it was first presented at the in-cosmetics trade show in Hamburg, Germany in April this year. The silver award for the “Best Ingredient 2014” at in-cosmetics Asia proves once again DSM’s strong belief in a holistic beauty experience where appearance and sensation are both equally important. 

The Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award honours the development of novel actives or functional ingredients that combine scientific excellence, formulation benefits for manufacturers and efficacy for consumers when compared to other products currently available on the market

The ten new ingredients short-listed for the award were selected by an expert panel of judges including Alain Khaiat of Seers Consulting, Karl Lintner, President of KAL’IDEES S.A.S., Jack Ferguson, founder of Skinnovation Ltd and Marc Pissavini, Director of Basic & Applied Research at Coty-Lancaster Group.
