As Regional Vice President, Mrs. Salmassinia will oversee the strategic development and execution of DSM Personal Care activities in North America. Under her leadership, DSM Personal Care will continue to drive a stronger market presence and strengthen strategic partnerships with North American customers.

Speaking of her new appointment, Parand Salmassinia says “I am delighted to join DSM. The company has developed its Personal Care business unit ambitiously in the past two years. The double-digit growth achieved through its skin care portfolio validates its commitment to win in the personal care market with a strategy focused on innovation and a deeper understanding of customer needs, as well as investments in its synthetic peptides manufacturing facilities in Village-Neuf and more. Further, I believe the broad portfolio it has across other personal care applications, such as vitamins, UV filters and hair care polymers, positions the business well to tap into the new opportunities that lie in our markets. I look forward to working with the team and driving the growth of DSM in Personal Care in North America.”

A graduate of California State University Fullerton with BScs in Biology and Psychology, Parand also earned a Doctorate in Law from Whittier Law School.  Later, she gained certifications in Business Management from Henley School of Management in London and Project Management from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Since then, Parand has acquired more than 19 years’ experience in the personal care industry, managing key global accounts and projects for Seppic and Merck before taking responsibility for Induchem’s business in the Americas.
