The new resins are good news for metal coating producers whose customers include heavy machinery manufacturers. One of the common bottlenecks in heavy machinery production is the curing process after components have been coated. In the past, acquiring greater oven capacity was the only solution to these powder coating bottlenecks, which can be expensive or impractical. Now, heavy machinery manufacturers can use the same ovens, and only change their type of powder coating. Thanks to the fast-cure technology of these new resins, manufacturers can reduce their average curing times from between 10 and 12 minutes to just five or six minutes, driving production output.
The Uralac® EasyCure ZW 016972 P/ZW 016973 P & ZW 016971 P/ ZW 016973 P systems have been developed to full fill a market need and to complement the Uralac® EasyCure product portfolio of DSM powder coating resins. Curing Uralac® EasyCure polyesters at lower temperatures or faster allows the same excellent appearance and coating properties as current dry blend systems offer at 20°C higher temperatures. Thanks to the fast-cure technology of these new resins, manufacturers can reduce their average curing times from between 10 and 12 minutes to just five or six minutes, driving production output.
