Vitamin C

Vitamins are essential, meaning that our body cannot produce them itself. We need to supply them daily – in our diet or through supplements with each vitamin fulfilling a unique function in the metabolism.
The amounts of vitamins required by the body range from a few micrograms to a hundred milligrams per day; and vary from one vitamin to another. The amount needed is also affected by a range of factors like stress, strenuous exercise and diseases - but also by pregnancy and lactation. A deficit of just one vitamins can affect the body’s normal functioning.
