In a year with more challenges that we thought possible, let's take a moment to appreciate how resilient and collaborative we were as partners in 2020. Having strong business relationships really comes down to people, which is why we put the health and safety of our employees and your employees first and foremost this year. All our sites have operated without any significant disruptions due to Covid-19. This is due to our abundance of caution and stringent protocols, as well as the commitment of our suppliers to keep providing goods and services to our sites. In addition to raw material suppliers, our logistics, facilities, and PPE suppliers stepped up as well. We are grateful for your commitment to our shared business and hope you are successfully weathering this unprecedented pandemic and associated economic disruptions.
While continuity of supply took center stage this year, we never wavered in our commitment to sustainability. We are on track to meet our targets for greenhouse gas emission reduction in our value chain (Scope 3: 28% intensity reduction by 2030), renewable electricity purchases (75% renewable electricity by 2030), and Together for Sustainability supplier assessments. DSM takes a leadership role in sustainability and expects its suppliers to also follow suit. Looking to the future, DSM is focused on growth especially in the areas of health and nutrition. We encourage suppliers to be part of this growth through capacity and geographic expansion or through innovation. Suppliers are welcome to bring new raw materials, processes, and services that could be incorporated into our growing product offering to meet customer needs. Joint innovation is a key priority for us to unlock joint value with our supplier.
