dsm-firmenich announces the upcoming launch of life’s®OMEGA O3020, the first and only single-source algal omega-3 with the same EPA/DHA ratio naturally found in fish oil.

life’s®OMEGA O3020 has a ratio of 1.5:1 EPA to DHA and will offer dietary supplement brands an easier path to converting or expanding their existing fish-based omega-3 portfolio, using a more sustainable algal source, while providing greater flexibility in addressing key health concerns to enhance consumer appeal.

With the marine omega-3 category facing ongoing supply challenges due to climate and environmental impacts that limit the availability of traditional fish oil, the launch of life’s®OMEGA O3020 demonstrates dsm-firmenich’s continued commitment to the supply of sustainable algal omega-3 solutions, while creating options for customers and consumers.
