This is the vitamin that counteracts signs of skin aging. Vitamin A for cosmetic applications stimulates skin cell proliferation, which eventually causes the epidermis to thicken, resulting in a stronger skin barrier function. Vitamin A also improves skin appearance and in particular its elasticity.
