Next come our formulation and testing know-how, our scientific expertise, and our extensive portfolio of UVA and UVB filters, emulsifiers, skin care actives to support UV protection, and sensory modifiers.  We also offer a free online Sunscreen Optimizer™ tool to help customers develop and fine-tune sunscreen formulations before they begin the SPF testing process. UV Filters

  • PARSOL® 1789

    PARSOL® 1789 (INCI: Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane) is a very strong and efficient UVA absorber for sunscreen and other skin care formulations. It enables broadband protection when combined with effective UVB filters and can also contribute to SPF.

  • PARSOL® 340

    PARSOL® 340 (INCI name: Octocrylene) is an effective UV-B absorber and the most effective photostabilizer for solid, crystalline UV absorbers like PARSOL® 5000, PARSOL® 1789, Ethylhexyl Triazone and Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate.

  • PARSOL® 5000

    PARSOL® 5000 (INCI: 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor) is a strong UVB absorber that helps increase SPF. The UV filter is oil-soluble and compatible with most popular UV filters and cosmetic ingredients. PARSOL® 5000 also serves as an effective photostabilizer for PARSOL® 1789.

  • PARSOL® EHS

    PARSOL® EHS (INCI: Ethylhexyl Salicylate) is an effective UVB absorber for sun protection formulations. This colorless liquid UV filter is an effective solvent for many solid filters like PARSOL® 1789 and PARSOL® 5000.

  • PARSOL® Guard

    PARSOL® Guard is a technical ingredient used to protect light-sensitive cosmetic products from degradation by UV radiation and as a stabilizer in cosmetic preparations. It consists of three registered safe UV filters: Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Homosalate, Octocrylene, and Tocopherol (dissolved in sunflower oil). The UV filter is soluble in oils, ethanol and other alcohols.

  • PARSOL® HMS

    PARSOL® HMS (INCI: Homosalate) is an effective UVB absorber with SPF-enhancing properties. The UV filter integrates easily into the oil phase of sun protection formulations and is ideal for all kinds of sunscreen formulations.

  • PARSOL® HS

    PARSOL® HS (INCI: Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid) is an effective UVB absorber for water-based sunscreen formulations. The UV filter is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients and shows good photostability.

  • PARSOL® MCX

    PARSOL® MCX (INCI: Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate) is a strong UVB absorber ideal for water-resistant sunscreen formulations. The UV filter is an excellent solubilizer for many solid UV filters integrates easily into the oil phase of sunscreen formulations.

  • PARSOL® Max

    PARSOL® Max (INCI: Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol) is a photostable broad spectrum UV filter which delivers outstanding performance that breaks through the boundaries of UVB and UVA to continue into the blue light spectrum.

  • PARSOL® SLX

    PARSOL® SLX (INCI: Polysilicone-15) is a silicone-based UV-B absorber. This colorless-to-pale yellow viscous liquid integrates easily with the oil phase of sunscreen formulation.

  • PARSOL® Shield

    PARSOL® Shield (INCI: Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine) is a photostable broad-spectrum filter which efficiently contributes to UVB and UVA protection across the full range of application forms at low concentrations.

  • PARSOL® TX

    PARSOL® TX (INCI: Titanium Dioxide, Silica, Dimethicone) is an inorganic UVB filter providing a very good SPF performance as well as a significant contribution to UVA protection into the blue light range.

  • PARSOL® ZX

    PARSOL® ZX (INCI: Zinc Oxide, Triethoxycaprilylsilane) is an inorganic UV filter with a broad UVA‐UVB absorption curve that also goes into the blue light spectrum. Our grade with a particle size ensures SPF and best UVA performance.
