DSM appoints new President Animal Nutrition & Health

DSM Animal Nutrition & Health, a leading supplier of vitamins, carotenoids, eubiotics and enzymes to the global feed industry, is pleased to announce that it will appoint David Blakemore as President Animal Nutrition & Health as of 1 May 2016. As from 1 August 2016, he will formally succeed Mark Stock, who currently holds that position. David Blakemore will report to Chris Goppelsroeder, President of DSM Nutritional Products and Member of DSM’s Executive Committee.

David Blakemore is currently Vice President Global Commercial Excellence with The Dow Chemical Company. David, a US national, started his career at Dow, where he worked in different Operations and Business positions in different areas, predominantly in Dow Agro Sciences. He has held several senior leadership positions both global and regional, e.g. in Latin America, as Dow Agro Sciences Vice President International Business and Dow's Business President for Specialty Chemicals before assuming his current responsibilities in 2014. He is a business leader with over 29 years of experience in driving a strong focus on customers and markets with a disciplined approach to business and innovation. He has a strong track record of delivering results and resiliency in leading people in cross functional teams and multiple businesses, particularly in the Agro Sciences area and geographic regions. David has lived and worked in the US, Latin America and New Zealand.

Mark, a US national, joined DSM Nutritional Products in January 2008 as Senior Vice President Operations and was appointed into his current position in April 2013. In both positions, Mark has contributed tremendously to the success of our company. Before joining DSM Nutritional Products, Mark worked as Senior Vice President Global Operations with Solae LLC leading their global Operations organization. Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from St Louis University, Missouri.
