In a 5-week broiler trial, BalanciusTM, fed at 25, 35 and 45,000 LSU(F)/kg of feed, improved absorption capacity with greater ileal digestibility of crude protein and fat compared with the negative control. To further investigate the effects of BalanciusTM on nutrient absorption, carotenoid levels were determined in the blood of birds.

This was significant for Balancius™ for 35,000 LSU(F)/kg (22.7%; p<0.05)
These predictions are based on detailed greenhouse gas emissions resulting from Balancius™ production versus the predicted greenhouse gas emission savings by a 4–6 points (3%) feed conversion ratio improvement due to the use of Balancius™. This FCR improvement results in savings of 146 and 89 kg CO e/tonne broiler carcass weight for Latin America and North America, respectively.
